We have just returned from our holiday to Corfu in the Nafsika Hotel. We have been going to Corfu for over 20yrs but have always stayed on the NE side of the Island but had read about the Nafsika on the NW coast so thought we would give it a try we were not disappointed. The Hotel is in the old part of the village but in a lovely spot with views over to Albania. The hotel is a little dated but charming and clean. The food is wonderful Greek home cooking (not a chip in sight) breakfast is continental which was fine for me but for an extra 2.50 euro my husband had full english the evening meal was three courses with a choice of three starters three or four mains and two sweets. The staff were very good Aris with his lovely smile in a morning and Chris in the evening Jo at the bar in the evenings was wonderful and what can I say about Spero a very very charming man a big hit will the ladies he made everyone feel special. We are definitely going back as soon as we can. I can recommend this hotel especially for its wonderful food even if you do not stay there they have a restaurant for none residents. |

A beautifully situated little Gem just a few yards from the beach. We were welcomed on arrival by Speros and Vangelis who carried our bags to our room and made sure that we were acquainted with the room etc. After our long journey we were quite peckish and decided to go and see if we could get any food, we had missed evening meal as we didn't arrive until about 10pm. We were asked if we wanted a sandwich or pizza, not really our cup of tea, so we asked if we could have a Greek salad, which was quickly prepared for us and which we ate with relish. On going back to our room in the early hours after having spent a pleasant evening in the hotel bar, we found that the tap was leaking and was sending a very fine stream of water which was hitting the shower screen and ending up on the floor every time the tap was turned on. A rudimentary repair with a wrung out face wipe was carried out on the tap and stopped the fine jet of water. It must have caused quite a stir amongst the staff as when we returned to our room later on in the morning the room fairies had been in operation and as if by magic the tap was fixed and a bright shiny new one was in its place, we hadn't even had time to mention it to Speros. The food as previously described by others on here was excellent, of particular mention is the squid, lovely and garlicky, as was the roasted meats, mousaka, the smell of which wafted up to our room during the day and giving us expectation of the food to come, and we weren't dissapointed. As for puddings we had Baklava, creme caramel, and if you asked nicely you could be given a dollop of Greek Yoghurt on your fresh fruit salad. The menu runs for 14 days which if you are on a two week stay is a really nice idea as you won't get the same things twice. We were even given an impromptu cookery lesson by Speros about how these dishes were prepared, is there no end to this versatile and genial host's talents? Greek dancing, plumber, quizmaster extraordinaire, (but not to be compared to Chris Tarrant at any cost), waiter, host etc etc. Speros was not alone though and was very ably helped by his friendly and very pleasant staff, Vangelis, Chris, Ari and barmaid Jo who deserves a medal for her patience, and behind the scenes the chef, Theadora, and the maids. A wonderful find, we'll certainly go back." |

My wife and I had been to Corfu before and really like the Island but our first time at the Nafsika and staying in San Stefanos turned out to be one of the best, most relaxing holiday we have had, The resort is small with no one at all trying to get you to look at menus or trying to sell you things you don't want. Plenty of nice little bars within a short walking distance.Beach just over the road was lovely. The hotel itself is basic but ok, the pool is lovely with plenty of sunbeds and the staff are lovely. Speros should be extremely proud of them all. Aris,Chris,Vangelis and Jo were so friendly and really nice. Yes there are a number of guests who return year after year but we were never treat any differently by Speros as some reviews have said. The food was probably the best we have had and we were stuffed every night. All in all I would recommend this hotel and resort and definitely intend to return in the near future.

Friendly Staff, Fantastic Food |

Best food we have ever had, plenty to feed 3 boys aged 14 - 18, hotel a little tired, lovely uncrowded beach just over the road, never a problem getting a sun bed by the pool (for 7 of us), very friendly staff, Vangelis, Aris, Chris and Jo thanks, for us far enough away from the centre of the village (a pleasant walk after dinner), but for those who are staying in the centre take a short walk to the Nafsika and try the lovely food, hotel for our budget very good value for money
